Over at the DCC blog, Jake and Deb are showing off the illustrations they did for the gallery section of the book. We've also got artwork from Pete, and are due to get a couple more pieces before going to print at the end of this week. It's just been a blast seeing other folks' interpretations of the characters, and we'll be showing them off in the coming weeks. Bram 8.22.2005

fresh, hot issue! Issue 1.6 is now posted for download! I'm taking a break from frantically drawing Issue 1.7/Backup, Part 2 to post this. We're hoping to collect all 7 issues (plus Bookman's Afternoon) into a small paperback version to sell at SPX. Not sure yet if we'll distribute 1.6 and 1.7 as individual printed issues.

Vote Dr. Dremo! Before we moved, Bram and I signed ourselves up for a slot in the exquisite corpse-like jam book that our buddies at DC Conspiracy were putting together. Each person (or team) would do 4 or more pages, continuing the story that others had started. We finished our section back at the beginning of July, and Volume 1 is currently at the printers. Because we're a new group, and because DCC is going to debut the book at SPX, and because our fearless leader Matt had the foresight to submit it, the Dremo book going to be on the ballot for the Ignatz Award for Outstanding Debut Comic!
So, if you're going to SPX, be sure to stop by the DCC table, vote for Dr. Dremo, say hi, pick up a copy of Dr. Dremo, Volume 1, vote for Dremo on your Ignatz ballot, pick up some copies of Raised by Squirrels, VOTE Dremo, and check out all the other cool stuff from all the other DCC members.

The new four-page, all-splash-page issue is done — the first of two parts. We'll see about getting it posted here, but right now our energy is dedicated finishing up the next twelve pages and getting it all collected into a book for SPX, where (if all goes according to plan) we'll be at the DC Conspiracy table.
