Daily-ish posts from (usually) Bram and (sometimes) Monica about comics in general, this comic in particular, art, design, publishing, visual culture, and far, far too many things about actual squirrels.
Back from APE with an armload of books and a nasty cold. We had a great time thanks to everyone who stopped by. A special shout-out to Doc Pop of the San Franscisco Cartoonist Conspiracy for getting us to the party at 826 Valencia and giving us a glimpse at the programs they run there.

Off to APE we'll have Raised By Squirrels and Death, Cold As Steel at the 7000 BC table (109), along with all sorts of work from the group. For a look at who else will be there, Pink Raygun is posting links to exhibitors.

New West Network, among others, notes that Santa Fe's own Cormac McCarthy has won the Pulitzer Prize. Confess, I made it through All The Pretty Horses years back and decided that was quite enough. Though this one's got me interested plus, one of the oddest moments we've had here was driving out of the small town of Las Vegas and encountering this, which was disorienting enough to make us miss our turn. We later realized it was from a film set for No Country For Old Men.

Dug myself out from under the moving boxes long enough to hear about this.

Squirrel Central is in the process of moving, so it's all paint and boxes right now. And we're gearing up for our trip to APE, where we'll be staffing the 7000 BC table (109) with all sorts of new stuff from our members so it's gonna be a while until there's a new post.
In the meantime, keep an eye on Marc's blog, where he's showing all sorts of new Doe, Jane stuff.

No secret I'm the fan of the innaworld guy. Here's a profile that that talks about how his life has changed since people know what he looks like.

Marc's posted another great writeup, this time of the first two issues of Death, Cold As Steel. Final issue's coming along, aiming to be at the printer by the end of the month. And I think the whodunit will still be a surprise.

Jason's Postcards: True Stories That Never Happened is now available in Previews, code APR074039. It's going to be a pretty amazing collection, pairing indy writers and artists telling stories, using old postcards as inspiration.
