Daily-ish posts from (usually) Bram and (sometimes) Monica about comics in general, this comic in particular, art, design, publishing, visual culture, and far, far too many things about actual squirrels.

We got the fourth season of The Wire as soon as it was released on DVD, but with the holidays, only just finished off the first DVD this weekend. Continues to be, with the interweaving and overarching stories and compelling though not always appealing characters, probably the best thing on television ever (though I still miss its predecessor Homicide).
The manga versions of Shakespeare. There are so many ways I could go with this, I don't know where to begin. But I am curious, even though seem to be skipping Titus Andronicus.

On books moving from the Web to print. Not specifically about comics, but there's some in there. Seen plenty of people at cons recently using the Webcomics to build material for the book, using the book to pay for making the Webcomics. Good to see.

Whoof. I've collected 353 pages of New Mexico comics made during 24 Hour Comics Day from 17 creators with a few more stragglers to come this week. And it's clocking in at 36.3 MB for the (really low-res) PDF.
Any thoughts how I can offer that for download? If you have any ideas or would like us to mail you a CD send an email.

Hm. Fully expect to be seeing this business card in the design annuals.

We're working our way to the next arc here at Squirrel Central, but a lot of our efforts recently have been devoted to gathering all the work done in Santa Fe and Albuquerque on 24 Hour Comics Day. We're getting some last stories together so that, around this time next week, we'll have a 250-or-so page PDF available for download.
