Y'know, Friday night, after reading Batman and Robin #16 for the second time that evening, I was plagued with nightmares of Batman. Not any adventure, not being menaced — nightmares of being a reader trying to figure out the whole tale Morrison's telling. True story.

Two of my favorite liberal elites: Chip Kidd interviews Gary Trudeau. I grew up reading Doonesbury, a coup when I moved out was making off with my parents' books. I teared up when I read the B.D. storyline, it was like someone I knew, and I think what he's done from there is some of the best. There may be flighty moments, sometimes the political satire comes up short, but what he's doing is unequaled — and will be — in daily comics.

Even better? I dunno, there's a little too much that's not pumpkin for the purist in me.
