Occasional posts from (usually) Bram and (sometimes) Monica about comics in general, this comic in particular, art, design, publishing, visual culture, and far, far too many things about actual squirrels.

Now that I've finished my book without pictures, the plan for next few days is a reading of the complete 100 Bullets. Will be skimming over re-reads of the first six or so volumes, but am looking forward to the total immersion. Starting … now.

Hey, yep, even less posting than comic-making. Which is something. Thanks to all for your support, it's been quite a year, and quite a wrapup to the year. As we slide into the holidays, I'll post a beautiful card from Sean Bieri, who we don't see enough posts from. Or to get even more maudlin, this Found.

The Top Ten list is shaping up (and shaping up to be a Top Seven List right now). If you've got suggestions, or just want to say hi, send an email.

The Hero Complex has a short article on Squirrel Central favorite Kate Beaton today.

And me? Been going through the first three volumes of Planetary in preparation for tonight's reading of the final installment. Finally.

Yes, a spectacular lack of new comics here, I'll admit. What else has been going on? Monica's been designing fabrics, available for purchase.

Despite the description at Coudal that contained the words "David Arquette," I did follow this link to D.I.R.T. Squirrel because I'm obligated to post about such things. If you make it past 3:00, you're better than I.

Our friend, the talented art student Aliina, has a design for a new character for the Gorillaz posted at their contest. No registration, near as I can figure, necessary to vote. Please do, 'cause I'd love to know more about that character.
Following up on that post about recently unearthed "degenerate art." Via Raph.
