OK, so, not to take away from the passing of Joe Simon, one of the creators of Captain America and the modern superhero comic as we know it and all. But Eduardo Barreto also died this week. He had a long and storied career with DC comics and, most recently, was known as the guy who made Judge Parker worth reading. No, seriously, much props to Simon, but let's not forget the artists who came after and continued to make the comics we all love to read.

Comic Crits — book reviews in comic form. Literally just ran across at Lines and Colors. I was dubious that the comic format would add anything, but I'm liking it.

It's eating potato chips, drinking Margaritas, and reading comics night here. Fraction and the Dodsons' Defenders (the source of the quote above) one of them and, while I'm sure there are flaws, they're awfully tough to find.
